While Addie and I were playing with a sippy cup and its lid, I placed the cup on my head and announced "Hat!" expecting Addie to take it off my head. Instead, she looked intently at the up-side-down cup o my head for a moment. Finally, she picked up the lid, handed it to me and asked "If that's a hat then what is this for, Mommy?"
Of course, the sound that really came out of her mouth was "Eh?" but I knew what she meant.
