Mixing nursery rhymes

The other day Ellie was carrying a stuffed bunny through the store:

Ellie:
Rock-bye bunny tee bop.
When blows caddle wi rock.
When bow break,
Down will come rain
And wash bunny out.
Out came the sun,
Bunny clime up spout again.

I think it works. It was actually quite impressive how smooth the transition was. It took us a while to realize what she had done, but she'll repeat it if you ask.

This would not have been the same if you hadn't written it exactly the way she says it. Oh my gosh, did you melt into a happy Niffer-puddle?

I like the sound of that. I may have to use those words in the future. Breaking News: Mommy melts into a happy Niffer-puddle. I like it.
